Beyond Vision did not start as a business plan. It started with a simple overlay for a gymnastics display — and a stubborn belief that off-the-shelf solutions are never quite good enough.

How Beyond Vision came about
Every system in the ecosystem grew out of a concrete problem in a hall, in a control room or at a venue. Here is the order it happened in.
Gymnastics and volunteering
Long before the first line of code, the foundation was laid in the gym. A lifetime of gymnastics and volunteer work gave a deep understanding of what genuinely works in the halls — and which digital tools actually create value for the volunteers. That insight is still the most important specification in everything we build.
An overlay driven from a Stream Deck
OSIS started during work at Sorø Gymnastikefterskole. The school recorded its displays with Switcher, and the answer turned out to be a simple, hand-coded overlay driven straight from a Stream Deck. That was the starting gun: one button, one overlay — and the idea that graphics and the running order ought to move together in real time.
From an overlay to a live engine
The overlay grew very quickly into a complete system — OSIS LiveSync — built for Sorø Opvisningsdage. It worked perfectly under pressure, and development took off from there. LiveSync became the core of live broadcast: sub-millisecond latency, faultless video routing and real-time synchronisation between the control room, the hardware and the cloud.
Lead Screen Producer at AIRTOX FACEOFF
Since April 2025 Beyond Vision has handled screen production at AIRTOX FACEOFF: setting up and preparing the rack (OBS, ATEM and the rest), preparing the athletes and the run of show — and controlling everything that appears on the big screens during the show itself. Alongside that, a regular camera 2 operator, right in the action. This is where code and camera really fuse.
"Could you make us a camp app?"
The idea came when Christoffer Færch, who runs the camp, asked for a camp app. That set things in motion, and a long, intense development stretch later there were two complete native apps and an advanced admin panel. Complex processes like active check-in were reduced to simple, satisfying green confirmations.
A rock-solid core — with modules on top
Building 11 web applications into one system takes structure. The foundation became a rock-solid core, onto which extra modules hook directly into the OSIS database. Everything supports white-labelling, so each individual school or club can run the system in exactly the colours and design that match their own brand.
Hundreds of hours saved
Teachers used to check phone lists by hand, and students could easily hand in a dummy phone. With NFC DMS you simply put an NFC sticker on the phone, add it to the system, and the school is ready to go with very fast scanning. Physical hardware talking wirelessly to digital IDs — frictionless access management.
Sorø Skills Challenges — from passion to invoice
It did not start as a paid gig at all, but as a handful of ideas that were allowed to come to life through OSIS Competition Suite. When the event was over, the question was put in the boss's office: what would you pay for that? That is the moment it became a business. The same event also produced the most stressful day in the control room: a mis-click on "reset" wiped every athlete and every point — but because the system was built in-house, an automatic backup was ready and waiting, and the finalists were found.
Screens in halls and at venues
The need to get the right information onto physical screens led to Digital Signage: centralised control of live information streams out to an unlimited number of screens. Zenbi got bespoke infrastructure driven by direct, automated API integration, while Lynge-Broby IF and Ørslev Bjerge IF got automated hall information and KMD calendars through dedicated kiosk systems.
When the mounts do not exist, we print them
Finding hardware, mounts and gear that fitted the setups perfectly turned out to be just as hard as finding the right software. The answer was the same: build and print it ourselves. Custom enclosures are always printed in matte white filament, so Vision White extends into the physical world and the hardware gets a clean, clinical look instead of the usual black machinery.
The same DNA, a new element
Sailing Log took the ecosystem's way of thinking out onto the water: digital tracking of voyages, a logbook, statistics and a leaderboard in a native app on the App Store. This is where the brand got its second accent colour, Sailing Cyan, and full dark mode support — because sailing at night and producing at night make the same demands on your eyes.
The bridge between infrastructure and live production
Today Beyond Vision works with boarding schools, sports clubs, events and companies — from Sorø Gymnastikefterskole and AIRTOX FACEOFF to Zenbi and TimberNest. The goal is still exactly what it was back with that first overlay: to build something that does not just look good, but actually works flawlessly in the real world.
