OSIS NFC DMS
A cloud-based SaaS and HaaS platform built to modernise and automate the daily collection of mobile devices at schools and institutions. We bring security handling and logistics together in one fully synchronised ecosystem.
Native Swift scanner and NDEF bypass
The scanner client is a native iOS app written in Swift and SwiftUI, with an uncompromising Apple-style design, dark mode and modern glassmorphism overlays. Rather than being limited by Apple's standard NDEF requirements, the system bypasses the protocol through Apple's signing and capabilities to read the raw MIFARE 13.56 MHz hardware ID instantly.
That is paired with rich haptic feedback through the iPhone's Taptic Engine. A correct scan produces a firm, confirming thump; an error or an unknown chip produces a sharp buzz — which makes eyes-free scanning genuinely fast.
- NDEF protocol bypass for direct hardware reads
- Rich haptic feedback and native spring animations
- Native iOS app in Swift and SwiftUI
Unlisted app distribution — our answer to BYOD
One of the platform's real technical assets is how it solves the BYOD problem. Staff frequently refuse to install heavy MDM profiles (mobile device management) on their private phones.
The system holds formal approval from Apple's App Review team for unlisted app distribution. That removes any need for Apple School Manager and lets us deliver enterprise software straight to teachers' private phones through an unlisted URL, complete with background updates from the App Store.
- Solves bring your own device (BYOD) for staff
- Approved by Apple App Review for unlisted app distribution
- No mobile device management (MDM) required
API automation and real-time synchronisation
The platform updates in under a millisecond through our NoSQL cloud backend. A scan out in the corridor synchronously updates the live dashboard in the staff room and the school's information screens, where aggregated data shows live progress as a percentage without compromising data protection law.
To support serious enterprise scale, the system connects to Azure API Management. That integrates directly with existing databases such as Zenbi, so JSON data for student records and rooms synchronises fully automatically and human data entry becomes unnecessary.
- Sub-millisecond real-time synchronisation
- Deep Azure API Management integration with Zenbi
- Aggregated live stats dashboards for information screens
Enormous time savings and room to scale
Replacing manual paper lists and spreadsheets delivers a very large return on investment. For just two teachers, collecting devices by hand takes roughly 45 minutes every evening; across 200 school days that adds up to more than 300 lost working hours — over DKK 75,000 a year in wasted time for the school. With OSIS NFC the process drops to a few minutes. Given its asymmetric cost structure, the platform carries a formally estimated market value of DKK 750,000.
