Careers

Help build it

Beyond Vision is a small software company in Denmark. We make information screens for boarding schools and sports halls, competition systems with live results on the big screen, and the sailing app Sailing Log.

There is no salary. That has to be said straight away, because it is the most important thing on this page. In return, what you make actually goes live — on a screen in a hall, on the big screen at a competition, or in the hand of a sailor out in the Great Belt. Often just weeks after you made it.

Let's be completely honest

So you can say no on an informed basis, instead of finding out three weeks in.

  • It is unpaid. No salary, no fee, no equity, no promises of any of that later. You should be here because you want to do the work — not because you are counting on money.
  • It is not employment. There is no contract, no notice period and no obligation to show up. You can stop whenever you want — just tell us, so we know.
  • These are real users. Not a school project and not an exercise. There is an organiser out there who needs it to work at 9 o'clock on Saturday.
  • You get something to show. Your name on something running at real customers, a reference from us, and experience that counts — including when you go looking for a paid job afterwards.
  • You get a say. There are few of us. Your opinion on what we build and how will carry weight immediately.
  • You come along for the fun part. Competitions, camps, big screens, cameras, cables and chaos. We are in it together.

If Beyond Vision one day grows big enough to pay salaries, the people who were there from the start are first in the queue. But that is an intention, not a promise, and you should not say yes on the strength of it.

What we need

We need several kinds of head

You do not have to be able to do all of it. We are looking for people who can do one thing well — and are happy to pick up the rest as they go.

Development

Apps for iOS and Android, web, screen clients and the APIs that tie it all together. Both the person who builds new things, and the person who is willing to tidy up what already runs.

Design

Interfaces, graphics for screens and overlays, brand work and motion. A lot of it has to be readable from 15 metres away in a badly lit hall.

Video & broadcast

Camera, editing, livestream and the big screen at competitions. Overlays with real numbers on them, while the competition is running.

Events & delivery

Being there on the day. Setting screens up, running the system through the competition, helping the judges and keeping a cool head when the network drops.

Sales & communication

Social media, content, the newsletter — and reaching out to clubs, schools and organisers who do not know we exist.

Something else entirely

Can you do something that is not listed here, but that you can see fits in? 3D printing, electronics, law, accounting, translation — put it in the form.

What we expect

What we ask

  • That you tell us in good time when you are not going to make it. Everything else we can work with.
  • That you speak Danish. Our customers are Danish clubs and schools.
  • That you can set aside a few weekends a year if you want to come to the competitions. Not all of them.
  • That you have your own computer or your own camera. We do not have equipment to lend out yet.
  • That you treat customer data properly. There are students and participants in our systems — we sign a confidentiality agreement together.
  • If you are under 18, your parents need to approve it before we start.

  3. A conversationOnline or over a coffee. Not a job interview, more a mutual working-out.
  4. A real taskSomething small and genuine off the pile. Not a test, but a way to find out whether this is fun for both of us.
  5. You are inAccess to the tools, a place in the calendar and something that is yours.
